Arriving before the aquarium opens to the public, you’ll be met by a passionate ecologist who will personally guide you through all nine diverse Tropical North Queensland habitats including the freshwater rivers, tropical rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef within the aquarium.
Discover interesting facts about the marine life and diverse ecosystems with rich commentary provided by your personal guide. Next, step behind the scenes of the aquarium to view private areas including animal food preparation and quarantine sections, get involved in hand-feeding Cownose Sting Rays and see the incredible conservation work taking place at the Turtle Hospital. You’ll also be taken to the River Monsters Exhibit to scatter feed to the freshwater rays and Barramundi and enjoy a unique view of predators circling below.
To cap off this magical Cairns Aquarium Marine Life Encounter, guests can sit down for an optional two-course lunch at Dundee’s Restaurant while watching reef sharks in the aquatic-themed restaurant.
