Location
Cairns ZOOM & Wildlife Dome, the world’s first Challenge Ropes Course in a wildlife exhibit, is an all-weather experience in the Cairns CBD. Experience adventure on the Mid-ZOOM or Hi-ZOOM courses, consisting of a total of 65 elements between the 2 courses, including crossings, tunnels, a climbing wall, cargo nets, and four ziplines at various heights and lengths, including one directly over Goliath, our 4-metre saltwater crocodile. Get your heart racing with the Power Jump – a free-fall adventure with a 13-metre drop – or try our Pirate Climb and Commando Rope Climb challenges. Walk around the outside of the Dome on our Dome Climb for stunning 360 degree views. Please note that participants for ZOOM Activities must wear shorts/pants and closed-in shoes.
Conveniently located adjacent to the Cairns Convention Centre and nearby hotels, Cairns Wildlife Dome allows guests to appreciate and understand the rainforest environment and its unique wildlife in stunning detail. This fantastic experience promotes education and understanding of rainforest ecology and the fascinating habitats within.
Enjoy a leisurely walk through the wildlife exhibit including our small bird aviary and reptile enclosures as tropical birds fly above your head through the Dome. Wildlife presentations, including crocodiles, snakes, birds, koalas and other mammals, are held regularly throughout the day and offer an educational insight into some of Australia’s most well-known animals.

“ The great thing about this attraction is that it becomes a completely different experience depending on what age your kids are! We visit every time we are in Cairns with the first time being when my son was 4. It has been absolutely amazing every time! This was the first time my son had been old enough to do the activities. On his first try he had a bit of anxiety but the staff were so supportive and helpful that he end visiting a few days in a row to master the harder activities!
A nice time filler when you are rushed for time and want to engage in the regions wildlife.
5 months agoIt was a wonderful experience - even for us over 50's - to see the animals up close and to embrace the challenge of the mid zipline experience, which was so much fun and something you don't do everyday. We had 3 hours to fill prior to driving back to the airport. Well worth it.
Fun for all ages with super helpful staff! Must do attraction for families.

Wow this place was immaculate. So so very clean. Suitable for people of all ages.
12 months agoThis is the cleanest animal place I have ever seen. With animals walking and flying around, it was immaculate well done to the staff. Friendly and helpful staff. Great fun and challenges. Staff helpful with the young scared kiddies. The only little negative was the attitude we got when we asked to see photos taken. Not sure if I will be able to find them was the response when we wanted to look at them to purchase. Sam did find them but didn’t think he was too interested in wanting to.
The zoom experience was great value for money

5 years agoI bought 3 activities ticket and I really enjoyed the power jump the most. It looked scary but it was a lot of fun. I also did the medium and high walking as well. The staff there was so friendly.
